Halla bint Khalid is one of the first Arabic children’s authors to write in both English and Arabic
as well as illustrate, design, and publish her own books.
She is considered one of Saudi Arabia’s best-known children’s author and artists. Her works have been displayed in the USA, Canada, Italy and Germany.
She has also held numerous solo art exhibitions in her city of birth, Riyadh. She founded her publishing house in 1997, through which she has published numerous titles.
Halla has changed the face of Saudi literature for children through her distinctive illustrating style, and her non-didactic approach to story telling
